U.S Mayor Honours Basketmouth

One of Nigeria’s biggest comedian, Bright Okpocha, also known as Basketmouth has made history in far away United States of America (USA).

The ace comedian received a special honour from the U.S as the city of Houston, Texas holds what it terms  “Basket Mouth Day” on the 17th of July, 2015, Vanguard reports.

The Mayor of Houston, Annice D. Parker who signed a legal document to legalise the honour said that Basket Mouth was honoured “in recognition of his commitment in uniting the communities in the city through his comedies.

“The city of Houston commends Basket Mouth for his commitment in bringing our community together through comedy and extends best wishes for continued success,”  the Mayor said.

She went further to reveal that Basket Mouth is embarking on a world tour, and he will be visiting Houston on July 18, 2015, “because it is one of the largest population of Nigerian-Americans.”

Earlier today, the comedian took to his instagram page to send a lovely birthday shout-out to his wife, Elsie.
